A Turgo turbine is a variant of a Pelton turbine, the efficiency is the same. The rotor of a Turgo turbine is not difficult to manufacture as the Pelton with twins of buckets. The Turgo turbine can also handle a higher water flow compared to a same sized Pelton turbine.

There is no way this makes 58 kw @ 10m head a 759 l/s. You would need a lot more l/p or head
It's a crossflow turbine, power start to be made from 20% of the design debit...the penstock is the key player on the scheme...
Actually its very feasible to get that much power. Power = flow x pressure = 759 (l/s) x 10 (m) x 1000 (kg/m3) x 10 (m/s2) / 1000 (l/m3) x 77% (efficiency) = 58 kW
@@stephenphillip4959 true, crossflow turbines are amazing machines. In this bench test the small centrifugal pump is able to turn the much big turbine unloaded. The key is the pressure buffer cylinder, and the turbine aerodynamic vane. The design Penstock for the scheme is a 760mm diameter pipe of 30m length. The weight of the water in the penstock is more than 25 tons, when the vane of the turbine is fully opened letting flow the 759l it's no magic 58 kW is available at the turbine shaft...
